MY JOURNEY TO SUCCESS

In this internship, I have requested to intern under the Human Resources Department. Simple because I wanted to learn more on the management side.
During my internship in the human resources department, my tasks were:
Answers telephone system (screening calls, transferring calls, responding to inquiries and/or taking messages), perform record keeping and clerical (scheduling, data entry, calculating, etc). Calculating trainees' allowance, Arranging Interview with candidates and prepares offer letter and certificate. To assist overall HRD with smooth and efficient running of the department, to assist in HR events. To perform any other task assign by superior or other staff.
I have a learn a lot from this 3 and half months internship period. it made me realized that operational and management side have their own difficulties and challenges.

The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa

January 2017 - March 2017
I was assigned 3 departments, which were F&B (Banquet), Human resources and Kitchen.
-F&B (Banquet) Department: working as a waiter in Langkawi International Convention Center due to the big event from Amway Korea which consist of 250 pax for the whole 3 weeks. The tasks that I did in banquet was mostly the basic knowledge of F&B such as clearing and set up.
-Human Resources: working under the HR officer. Understanding paperwork and the way of back office works. Some task that I did in HR department were like making a name tag for staff, distribute application form for people that look for a vacancy, answering a phone call, making slides for events, invitation card, etc.

-Kitchen Department: working in a Pastry Kitchen for my last department. In charge of taking care the buffet, pancake station, making mise en place, etc

Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur

September 2015 - December 2015
I was working in 2 departments, which were F&B and Kitchen.

-F&B Department: working as a waiter in semi-fine dining restaurant (Gobo Upstairs, Lounge and Grill) and Coffee House (Gobo Chit Chat, All Day Dining) for 1 month each.

-Kitchen Department: working in Pastry kitchen for 2 months.
